Barossa Valley Wine Company (BVWC) has been awarded five gold medals in the Australian Wine Showcase Magazine new release tasting results:

BVWC awarded five gold medals

2018 Farms Shiraz - 96 points

2019 Gravel Track GSM - 95 points

2019 Stockyard Shiraz - 94 points

2018 Gravel Track Shiraz - 94 points

2018 Gravel Track Cabernet Sauvignon - 93 points

The wines were tasted blind and judged by the expert wine tasting panel in their appropriate price points.

With around 5000 wines tasted per annum, 1200 per edition, the percentages show only 6% of wines tasted receive a score of 93 or above. The results are not easily achieved so if a wine does get awarded a higher score it must have earned that in the eyes (or palate of) the tasting panel.

“With five of our wines scoring over 93 points, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. It’s a testament to our team and shows the strength and quality of our portfolio. Our icon wine, The Farms Shiraz, showcases the very best of the region and is the perfect balance of elegance, power, and grace,” said Lucy Jones, BVWC Brand Manager.
