The Perfect Portfolio

From premium to super premium – from strength to strength.

The Barossa Valley Wine Company makes its home in the cooler, southern end of the world-renowned Barossa Valley, around the small hamlet of Lyndoch.

Our old vine Farms vineyard – our spiritual home – is situated on the border of the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills, a unique cooler climate site that is arguably the dress circle of the Barossa.

The grapes for this wine were picked from our home in the Barossa Valley and fermented at cooler temperatures for ten days followed by malo-lactic fermentation and maturation in a combination of new and old French and American oak for eighteen months to add greater complexity to the wine.

TASTING NOTES

Seductive aromas of blackberry, plum and liquorice with savoury white spice on the nose, the palate is rich and concentrated with dark fruit flavours. The spice carries through to the palate, backed by intensely powerful tannins and integrated oak characters from eighteen months maturation.
